Pastor Vincent “Ben” Lewis

Pastor Vincent E. Lewis is a native Houstonian, born February 6, 1963 to the late Dorothy Lewis-Gilbert. He attended school in the Cypress Fairbanks ISD where he graduated from Jersey Village High School. Pastor Lewis has been married to Lady Eleanor for 33 years and they are the proud parents of two sons, Dalvin and Travis.

He confessed his belief in Christ at the early age of 11 and was baptized by the late Rev. Bennie Blair at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church.  He is a faithful worker in God’s vineyard.  For 22 years, he has been spreading the good news.  His ministerial affiliations include the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc., Prairie View A&M University Ministerial Conference, and the Los Angeles W.H.W. Ministers Conference. He holds a certification in Expository Preaching and is seeking an associate degree in Theology from the College of Biblical Studies. Pastor Lewis teaching experiences at GMBC include bible study and Sunday School alternate teacher (Adult Men Class).  Pastor Lewis was instrumental in initiating the Development in Ministry Excellence Program (DIME) at GMBC.

After much prayer, Pastor Lewis’ vision for Greater Macedonia is “To Develop ministries that meet the spiritual and physical needs of a person, the church members, and the community and abroad”.  This motto requires each member to take a personal interest in themselves and the church to pursue a common goal.  “Pastor Ben” as he is so favorite called embraces the history of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church as a stepping stone where his elders have paved the way and encourages his members to be all God has called them to be.
