GMBC is committed to instilling love for one another into the hearts of all men, women, boys and girls. GMBC will equip all believers to be fruitful, mature, and productive. GMBC will build a body of baptized believers and meet the spiritual needs of all who hunger and thirst for righteousness.

The Church of Jesus Christ:

We believe the bible instructs that a visible church of Christ is comprised of believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel. Observing ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His word. We believe the only Biblical officers are Bishops or Pastors, Deacons whose qualifications, claims and duties are defined in the Word of God…the book of Acts and Epistles to Timothy in particular.

God:

We believe the Bible teaches that there is one, and only one living and true God. The manifested in the unity of Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.

Salvation:

We believe the Bible to teach the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace; through the person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. By Christ birth, death, burial, and resurrection and soon return; God has made salvation possible through simple faith in His Son Jesus Christ. Believing both in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and savior of the world saves men from eternal damnation.

Baptism & The Lord’s Supper:

We believe the Bible teaches that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer, in the name of the Father, and Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20); as to demonstrate outwardly that which has already taken place inwardly, and symbolically link us to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe the partaking of the Lord’s Supper is to be shared by members of the church, by the sacred use of the bread and wine which commemorate together the dying love of Christ; preceded always by solemn self-examination.

Repentance and Faith:

We believe the Bible teaches that repentance and faith are the work of the Holy Spirit of God. The word repent means to ‘turn from our sin’ to Jesus Christ our Savior. By turning to Christ as Savior and then trusting Him as Lord, we experience repentance and demonstrate faith.

The Scriptures:

GMBC believes the Holy Bible was written by divinely inspired men of God and is perfect in its instruction. We believe the Bible has God as its author, salvation as its goal and truth without any mixture of error as its content. We believe that the Bible reveals the principles by which God will judge us and therefore is, and shall remain, the true center of Christian union and the supreme standard by which all human conduct and opinions shall be tried.
